Non-Surgical Treatments

Everybody gets lines and wrinkles at some point in their lives – this is caused by the breakdown of natural collagen and hyaluronan support layers that lie just beneath your skin.
This deterioration is a direct result of external factors such as overexposure to the sun, smoking and environmental pollution, as well as the body’s natural ageing process.
Non-surgical procedures are less invasive, quick and simple techniques which only require between 30 minutes to an hour to perform. They give a smoother, fresher look without the need for invasive surgery.
These techniques help enhance your facial contours, relax muscles to remove frown lines, reduce lines, wrinkles or blemishes or create beautiful lips.
I perform the following non-surgical treatments:
Botox
Botox® is the trade name for Botulinum toxin, produced by bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. Botox acts by blocking acetylcholine, a chemical that is responsible for transmitting electrical impulses that cause muscle contraction. This results in temporary muscle paralysis. Botox was first used in 1978 to weaken over active muscles in the eye, which means that we have follow up for over 30 years. It can also be used to prevent and treat wrinkles, migraines and hyperhidrosis (excess sweating).
Dermal Filler
Restylane (Medicis) and Juvederm (Allergan) are sterile gels that can be used to rejuvenate the face and restore lost volume for fuller lips and reduction of wrinkles. Also known as dermal fillers, they are made from hyaluronic acid gel. This is a natural carbohydrate found in the tissues of all vertebrate animals. Because of this, no skin testing for allergies is required. To further enhance safety, the hyaluronic acid used is derived from a non-animal source by using genetically engineered bacteria to produce it. They contain no human or animal DNA.
Medical Tattooing
Medical tattooing, or medical micropigmentation, is a corrective and restorative aesthetic procedure. It is designed to camouflage an area of skin or scalp that has undergone undesirable changes. It can also be used to reconstruct a nipple and areola after breast cancer surgery without the need for an additional surgical procedure.
