Fees

Fees

I believe in tailoring surgery to the patient and not vice versa. For non-standard procedures a bespoke treatment package will be offered with transparent pricing so you can choose exactly which elements you wish. Please contact us if you would like a guide price for a procedure. After I review you in clinic, we will be able to give you an accurate quotation specific to your needs.

Insured Patients

I am registered with all the Cayman health insurers. Individual policies vary considerably but most patients have a copay (excess) that they need to cover in the order of 20%.

Not all insurers cover the full surgical fee for bilateral procedures (e.g. both breasts) or combined procedures. In the event of a shortfall in payment, the responsibility for settlement will remain with you. We will let you know if there is a shortfall and how much you will be required to pay after your consultation. Unfortunately, this is not under our control and reflects the level of coverage you have. Even patients with premium policies can be required to pay for part of the procedure.

For visitors to the Cayman Islands, fees are payable in advance and invoices should be sent to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

For further information on health insurance plans in the Cayman Islands please visit the Cayman Resident.

Most cosmetic procedures are not covered by health insurers and fees will be settled by self-funding arrangements.

Self-Funding Patients

Insurance policies do not cover cosmetic procedures which are not considered medically necessary. All self-funding transactions for my surgery fee will be with:

Cayman Surgery
Governors Square, Unit #4-113, 23 Lime Tree Bay Avenue
P.O. Box 31878
Grand Cayman, KY1-1208
Cayman Islands

A standard fee is charged for all clinic consultations costing CY$300.

My surgery fee is based upon the predicted surgical time taken to perform the surgery, rather than the procedure itself. This means that the costs are calculated fairly and based upon the anticipated surgical requirement. My fee covers all post-operative visits and any necessary management of complications between 6 months to one year.
Thereafter, the hospital offers a fixed price procedure fee to cover all their costs related to your inpatient stay (this includes accommodation, inpatient medications, theatre and anaesthetic fees). If you book more than one procedure simultaneously then the hospital will apply a discount for the additional procedures.

We will provide you with a written quotation for my fees and request the hospital to provide you with a quotation for their fees.

Any formal quote offered prior to any fee changes will be honoured by the hospital and Cayman Surgery in accordance with their terms and conditions.

Please note that the requirement for additional services, for example diagnostic imaging, will likely incur additional hospital costs that will be separate or prior to the formal quotation. Please speak to the hospital to verify the payment details prior to receiving any service or treatment.

Rescheduling or cancelling surgery

We do not charge a fee for patients to reschedule or cancel surgery but politely request for as much notice as possible so there is an opportunity to offer the theatre time to a patient who wishes to proceed as soon as possible.

Financial assistance with fees

If you are struggling to cover the cost of the surgery, then we will be happy to discuss with you terms for a payment plan.
